Your home away from home in San Francisco. We offer a unique and charming stay experience that you won't find anywhere else. We are delighted that you have chosen to stay at Marina Motel while here in San Francisco.
Surrounding a charming 1930s flower-filled motor courtyard, each individually decorated room is located up a flight of stairs above a small single-space garage. All of our rooms have a microwave, refrigerator, K-Cup coffee maker, television, hair dryer and iron/ board and 17 rooms also have a fully equipped kitchen attached. While most of our rooms face our beautiful courtyard, the Street Facing rooms have their entrances and garages on Lombard Street.
The Marina District is a vibrant residential neighborhood that is known for its beautiful Spanish Mediterranean architecture and its water front promenade and beach. It is also home to several parks, including the Marina Green and Chrissy Fields, two large grassy areas that provides ample space for picnicking, Kite Surfing, and enjoying the scenic waterfront views. It is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike with its charming residential streets, upscale boutiques, restaurants, and cafes on neighboring Chestnut, Fillmore and Union Streets.

Check-In
Check-in is from 4 pm to 10 pm. If you arrive early, we are more than happy to store your luggage and/or vehicle while you explore the city until your room is ready.
Pet Policy
We only welcome dogs to our rooms with fully equipped kitchens. Up to two dogs are allowed per room with an extra charge of $25 per dog per night.

Parking
We offer one complimentary parking space for each reservation. Any additional cars must park on the street in the neighborhood. Our parking garages can accommodate most car types that are not larger than 6ft high by 8ft wide and approximately 18ft long. Please note that oversized vehicles, campers/motor homes or U-Haul type trucks will NOT be able to park on the property.

Housekeeping is available on request only. Please contact the front desk if you require this service.
Extra Beds
Not all rooms can accommodate extra beds since the maximum number of guests varies from two to four depending on the room type. Cribs are available for $10 per child per night and an extra rollaway is available for $20 per person per night.
Comfort and Amenities
All of our rooms include a small portable fan in the closet, two extra pillows and an extra blanket plus a K-Pod coffee maker, microwave, bar fridge, iron and board. Please contact the front desk if you would like to borrow an extra heater or if you need ice from our ice machine. For anything else that would make your stay more comfortable, please contact the front desk.
Kitchen
If you are staying in a room with a kitchen, we provide dishes, basic cookware, glassware, microwave, k-cup coffee maker, small gas range/oven, toaster and refrigerator plus a bistro table with chairs. Please clean up your dishes upon checkout to avoid any additional charges.
Parcel Delivery
We can accept parcels delivered to the front desk for a fee of $1 per parcel for each night we have to store the parcel. There is no charge for Parcels delivered during your stay. Please complete the parcel receiving form provided here and inform the front desk of any expected deliveries during your stay.
Smoking
We are a 100% SMOKE FREE property. Smoking is not allowed in any of our rooms nor anywhere on the property. A $250 penalty will be applied for any evidence of smoking.
Smoking is not allowed anywhere in SF within 20 feet of a doorway or window. If you must smoke, please step out onto the curb on Lombard Street to comply by this law.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to change or cancel your reservation, please contact us immediately. For cancellations 7 or more days before arrival date there is no charge. For cancellations or modifications six days or less before your arrival date, you will be charged for your first night plus a $20 cancel fee. Please note that reservations made with Booking.com Virtual Credit Card, we charge the full amount since there is no way to give credit to a Virtual Card.

Marina Motel
Built by the son of a California Gold Rush miner, the historic Marina Motel was built to celebrate the opening of the Golden Gate Bridge in the late 1930's and is still run by the same family. Ideally situated between Fisherman's Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge in the popular Marina District, the Marina Motel offers a one-of-a-kind, old world experience.
